• Documents proving sufficient means of subsistencefor the period of stay, as well as for the return to the country of origin or transit;
• Documents on the applicant's intention to leave Bulgariabefore the expiry of the validity of the visa.

According to art. 13, para. 3, the members of the families or households of nationals of Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation must provide evidence only of their family relationship or belonging to the households of those citizens.

Medical insurance

According to Art. 14, para. 1, applicants for a visa (except for an airport transit visa) must present valid medical insurance covering the period of the planned stay or, in the case of multiple visas, the period of the first planned visit, with a minimum amount of coverage of 30,000 euros.
